舞，是隐含在人类基因密码中的一份原始冲动，一种自人类茹毛饮血时代就有的伸展与释放，追逐与狩猎的演练。对于当代人来说，已被现代文明准则规劝与训诫，举手投足之间似乎都有无形的规范在束缚着自己。此时，内心“舞”的狂想，一部分被舞者的舞步所外化了，而剩下的大部分则更多地留存于普罗大众的心底，内化为“无声的呐喊”，“静默的演练”。这种直指内心的“舞”的狂想，在丁密金的笔下，化作水墨氤氲跃然纸上。在《炫舞》系列作品中，虚化的背景，夸张变形的人物形象，没骨的皮肤肌理，淡墨与柔和色彩的冲撞，飞动流畅的笔法“写”出的运动态势，创造了独具现代感视觉形象，使整个画面具有极强的艺术感染力。
