程亚杰的意象油画把写实和抽象结合，往往把写实的人像放在抽象的背景中，背景上描绘出海市蜃楼般虚幻的情景“世界语”演绎诠释画作的内涵和主题，《巴黎香》和《香草冰激凌》都创作于巴黎，同样的两个人像；但一个眼睛明亮快乐，一个迷离忧伤；一个背景绚烂多姿，彩色的画笔把愉悦铺满画布；一个如雪花飞舞，泪水飘零；一幅表现了巴黎的浪漫多情，一幅展示了巴黎曾经的苦难；技法上都是速写的人像，很好的造型，层层叠加上油彩构成背景，五彩缤纷的，蓝调忧伤的，远处的埃菲尔铁塔，飞舞的蝴蝶，让人们的心情随着画面漂浮，浮沉，有着摄人的艺术魅力。
Cheng Yajie's imagery oil paintings combine realism and abstraction through putting the realist portrait on the abstract background. The Esperanto in the background, as illusory as mirage, interprets the connotation and theme of the painting. Both Paris Fragrance and Vanilla Ice Cream were produced in Paris. The portrait of the two paintings are the same but with different eyes―the eyes of the portrait are bright and cheerful in Paris Fragrance while wandering and gloomy in Vanilla Ice Cream. Additionally, the backgrounds are different―Paris Fragrance depicting a colorful background with colorful brushes brings audiences joviality while Vanilla Ice Cream depicting a cold background with snowflakes makes audiences sad and blue. Paris Fragrance reveals a romantic Paris while Vanilla Ice Cream displays the sufferings of Paris in the past. From the perspective of technique, they both belong to sketching portraits with perfect modelings. The backgrounds are structured with layered colorful or cold-colored paints. Eiffel Towel in the distance and flying butterflies, filled with artistic charm, affect audiences' feelings.
