艺术是人类生命智慧的造化，她深埋在许多人的基因当中。经过挖掘、开发使一些人成就为艺术家，同时也使缺少这一潜质的人成为艺术的误会者。这好比开采矿藏一样，在开采到矿藏的同时肯定也会有它石。如今艺术正处于泛滥期，艺术精神的堤坝早已被淹没。以浮泛的形象和空洞形式催生的泡沫，蔓延和遮蔽于艺术的质地上，缺乏表达的“空壳艺术”落荒于情感的“无人区”。声嘶力竭般的张狂背后却是真正的失语。
基于这种意义，我认为赵露是善于表达的，他研究语言的动机就是强烈的表达愿望。作为青年画家他渴于阅读，沉于思考，这无疑为他的艺术语境提供了对应的天地。他是在尝试和灵魂交谈。
