“我的星星为什幺是五角的为什幺会在我的生命中出现，其实我不知道。”如果说艺术是直属心灵的话，有时不知道比知道来得有意义。
“星星”可以说是世界性的共通表达，很多画家都在作品上呈现过它们，无可否认，星星在人们的心里总是有一种不能解说的神秘。
“画星星的时候，开始与结束都是必然的，只有过程中发放出来的光芒是吸引着我的。”我当时与李新辉聊他的20年创作之路，就有更强烈的感受
油然而生——过程中的历练往往比结局来得精彩。
李新辉的艺术过程，主要是从1991年开始，其间“方”、“光”及“麻”系列是起步，在有形中寻找着一种无形的状态；接着是“门”、“记忆”与“城
市”，这个时期是“堆绣”一种过去与未来的实境，当有形遇上实境，李新辉变得无助与纠结……这在“门”系列中不难找到线索。
1996年是李新辉在艺术上的一个重要时期，他仿如手中摘下了一颗星，但这颗星仍然带着“不知所措”的心情：“灰色系列”与“夜幕降临”浓烈带
着“不安”的感觉；时间下来，作品自己为李新辉说话。
2000年李新辉终于走出了一条“新.星.路”，情感豁然开朗但不失思考的味儿。在路上的人，总会发现不同的风景，在仰望星空的时候，星也总在
幻变，企图或意图留在人的心里。让看似一条的线上引发光芒。
“星星”在希腊的神话中有这样一个传说：
宙斯变成一支大老鹰，在特洛伊城王子不注意的时候，一把抓住他回到神界。后来因为不忍见王子日渐消瘦，就让他回去特洛伊城看望国王，然后
再回到神界替宙斯做倒酒的工作……特洛伊王子从此在天上变成水瓶星像，负责给宙斯倒酒。

"Whenpaintingthestars,thestartingandtheendingpointareinevitable,butonlythe"beamline"ofthestarthatisreleasedduringthe
creatingprocessfascinatesme".WhenIwastalkingwithLiXinHuiabouthis20years'artisticcareer,Iwasaffectedbythespontaneously
ariseofmanydifferentintensefeelings,andIrealizedthatthepracticeandtheexperiencegainedduringthejourneyareoftenmorevaluable
thanthemerefinalresult.
LiXinHuiartisticcoursemainlystartedin1991withthebeginningoftheseries"Square","Light"and"Hemp",seekingfortheinvisiblein
thetangiblestate.Followedby"Gate","Memory"and"City"series,aperiodof"raise"betweenpastandfuture,whentangibleencounters
realityandLiXinHuibecomeshelplessandtangled.It'snothardtofindtraces,especiallyinthe"Gate"series
Theyear1996isanimportantyearintheartisticcareerofLiXinHui.Asifhishandalreadyheldastarinside,butthisstarstillcarrieda"restless"
mood:"Greyseries"and"Sunsetseries"carryanintensefeelingof"unstableandconfusion";laterLiXinHui'sworksspokeforhimself.
Fromtheyear2000LiXinHuifinallytookthelongstar-studdedroad,andtheemotionssuddenlybecameextensivebutalsoprovidedspace
forthinkings.Themanontheroadwillalwaysdiscoverdifferentlandscapes,andwhenlookingupatthestarryskywillfindthatalsothestars
arealwaysmagicallychanging,attemptingorintendingtopenetrateeveryone'sheart,evokingaflashingthreadoflight.
InGreekmythologythere'salegendabout"Stars":
ZeusturnedhimselfintoabigeagleandgrabbedthePrinceofTroyofftoMountOlympus.Later,becausehecannotbeartoseethePrince
graduallybecomeemaciated,lethimgobacktoTroytoseetheKingonceandthenreturnedtoMountOlympustobecomeacupbearer
andservedZeustopourthewine.
Thesprinkleofthewinefromtheskythenformedthestars.Thisinfiniteimaginations,istheartofenlightenment.
