此次艺术北京再度联合凤凰艺都共同策划主题展，展出18位当代油画艺术家的精选之作。“境生象外”是古代诗学中的一个概念，以此作为展览主题，旨在从纷繁复杂的当代艺术现实中回溯到艺术的本源，即情与思之中。展出的40余件作品皆在介于写实与抽象之间的形式中找到一种表现艺术家情与思的创新画法。艺术家对自然之象进行纯化与提炼的同时，也将自己的灵感和激情注入作品之中，使其作品在有限的、确定的物象中蕴含着悠远深长的情味，给观画者以象外之象，韵外之致。
Art Beijing has again joined hands with Phoenix Art Palace for this year’s “Beyond Painting” theme exhibition. Building on the concepts of classical poetics, “Beyond Painting” exhibits key art works by 18 contemporary oil painting artists. Exploring such classical themes, this year’s exhibition aims to trace back to the origins of art—the emotions and ideas that launched artistic creation into the complexity of contemporary work we see today. The more than 40 exhibited artworks were curated with an eye for technical innovations and artistic expression, in both realism and abstraction. While purifying and extracting a range of natural images, these artists have also infused their personal inspirations and passions.This striking exhibition thereby achieves a far-reaching, profound sentiment among its audience, suggesting the full range and power of contemporary oil painting.
