杨兄的硕士研究生的研究方向和博士研究生的研究方向均是“现代水墨人物”，而且他的人物画在当今画坛已颇具影响。近来，在各大展览和专业杂志上，看到他推出的一大批花卉新作，令观者称奇，我送他“清新古艳”四字。他曾亲口导我读他的这批新作：“我画的是潘多拉星球的花朵，她们也都是阿凡达，给她们命名似乎又没有太大的意义，我描绘的只是一簇灿烂的生命。”这基本是杨兄的原话，我赞同并喜欢他的解释，但更喜欢他笔下的这些“阿凡达”，炫丽旺盛的生命在燃烧，让人忘却烦忧忘却苦恼，回归生命绽放的本质，从古朴的“忘忧”到华丽的“阿凡达”，杨兄于平静恬淡之外更悟到了一种奇丽与通达。
