Yang Jun is honest and sincere. He has a good nature. His paintings pay attention to the implication of the styling and “brush and ink”. Looking at his painting is just like enjoying the vivid state of the object with him. Yang Jun regards styling and “brush and ink” as a culture space to feel or experience. Many of his works have the simple meaning and he pursues simple image and plain style. We can feel subtle things in his paintings. He draws many pictures which carry an ordinary state of mind and sincerely experience the traditional culture with his natural character which supports and forms his clear “brush and ink” language. The unique language shows a culture attainment and the styling is solid and full of sentiment. His painting state is always stable and upgraded. Yang Jun is good at exploring and thinking and he has the ability to grasp the entire image especially to the “brush and ink” implication. In his works and creations, he absorbs the context of the stone relief of Han dynasty with the feeling method of “brush and ink” and shows the calligraphic style of the traditional landscape painting. He drew a batch of paintings which have an epic theme.
